Hamilton Gardens

Hamilton Gardens is the botanical jewel of the North Georgia Mountains.  This botanical paradise bursts with dogwoods, tulip magnolia, native azaleas, lady slippers, trillium, and over 2,000 rhododendron blooming from early April to late May in Hiawassee, Georgia

Dogwoods adorn the banks of beautiful Lake Chatuge.  Boats buzz on the lake as you view the stunning view from picnic tables.

Tulips put on a colorful show at Hamilton Gardens.

Thousands of rhododendrons and azaleas burst forth like rainbows.

This Mallard duck and wood duck stroll across the shore looking for handouts from people.

My sister and I enjoyed touring Hamilton Gardens very much on Easter afternoon.  What a perfect, sunny day to get outside and savor God's creation after attending an uplifting service at Pilgrim Baptist Church that morning.

How very pretty! Wonderful to see you and your sis enjoying such a lovely garden. My sister who lives in KC, has friend interested in moving to Hiawasee. I will have to pass along this link.
Thanks for your well wishes on our move.

Are all of the Rhody's blooming already?? Ours don't bloom til about mid-May....

Fantastic group of pictures and what a great Easter you all had.

Hugs,

This looks so lovely!! Aren't spring colors just the best? We drove home Sunday from church along a mountain road, and I've never seen as many dogwoods in my life.

So nice you and your sister could make this trip together.

The Rhody's have not all bloomed yet. They were budding on Easter when we visited the gardens. Due to several cold snaps, it has caused these flowers to bloom later than usual. If we can get a few days of sunshine, I think the Rhody's will bloom very soon.
I appreciate very much all of my blogger friends who comment on my blog.
