SPRING PRAISE SONG

Praise the yellow bell bush
ringing a song in dawn breeze,
the woods alive with wildflowers,
white-tailed deer leaping over fences.

Praise to the heavenly scent
of fresh-turned dirt,
sowing seeds in the garden,
bringing hope, a new life.

Praise to the bluebird
gathering twigs for a nest,
sheep clouds flocking
cobalt skies above Cherry Mountain.

Praise to the spring morning,
the tickle of fresh green grass
against bare feet. Bradford
pear trees offering ice-cream cones.

The Bradford pear trees are blooming here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  They are beautiful and look like snow shimmering on the mountaintops and along the country lanes.  It's beginning to look a lot like spring!

Wow---amazing that you have so much spring now.. We still don't have much here. BUT--it's still pretty cold. However, they say it is going to warm up this weekend. Yeah!!!!

Great photos.
Hugs,
Betsy

We have a row of Bradford Pears at the entrance to our subdivision. They bloomed here a few weeks ago. So beautiful!

I think you tickled all five senses with this wonderful poem! Not much has bloomed here yet, only buttercups and I have one red tulip.

This was beautiful, Brenda~ the pear trees are just starting to bloom here and from a distance they look like they are covered in snow! (Yikes, did I say snow? *haha*)
