I am a messy cook. My cousin's husband makes delicious pies and pie crusts. I always thought if I ever entered a pie contest, I would have him make the crust for me. Loved the poem, Brenda. I like writing poems about remembrances - so we and others after us can remember.Janet,https://www.blogger.com/profile/17796999156668844943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7772653330643900508.post-35192063620367737242016-08-05T12:54:32.021-07:002016-08-05T12:54:32.021-07:00Ah, this is a lovely poem, Brenda. I've never been able to bake very good pies, but I do OK with cakes and cookies. :)Conniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03865193802444007545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7772653330643900508.post-83108152192569811222016-08-04T16:54:33.799-07:002016-08-04T16:54:33.799-07:00awww. made me miss my mom. i used to watch her mak...awww. made me miss my mom. i used to watch her make pie crusts... and bread.TexWisGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13641962051044162710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7772653330643900508.post-62226216404661326922016-08-04T16:07:51.586-07:002016-08-04T16:07:51.586-07:00I never mastered the craft of making a pie crust. ...I never mastered the craft of making a pie crust. I remember the days when my mother made pie crusts like that... I never learned... Mom wanted me to learn to cook--but this ole tom-boy wanted to be outside playing cops and robbers with the boys!!!!!! BUT--oh how I love my mother's pies (and pie crusts). I don't think I've ever tasted a pie crust as good as hers.... YUM...

Hugs,
BetsyBetsy Banks Adamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16223591156634767330noreply@blogger.com
